I tend to
Think too much about the things I can't control
Lost in today and I forget what's coming after

And I am guilty
I forget that I have plenty
Until something has been taken from my hand

Say too little 'bout the things I want to voice
I write my words and thoughts in poems and songs instead
But then I
Play the victim acting like I have no choice
As if the world can see the words inside my head
It's simply
Paving stones
On a path
That we go
That we walk, just to see what we find
Some are proud of the life that they've lived
But most people don't even look behind
And I am guilty
I forget to look around me
And I often fail to see how far I've come
But I've decided
While I'm young

I'll work hard but I'll just also live for fun

See the tower we had

But often times we
Travel where we think we want to
Then we look back and we long for where we were not where we are

I forget to see the beauty all around me
It's exactly where I stand
Deep down I know that it'll all just piece together
