Good morning, professors. I am candidate number XX. It is a great honor to be here for this interview.
Iam20 years old, majoring in Surveying and Mapping Engineering. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I have remained dedicated to academic excellence, earning a scholarship for two consecutive years. This recognition has motivated me to continuously improve. In my first year, I passed CET-4, strengthening my English proficiency. In my second year, I participated in the National English Competition for College Students and won third prize, further enhancing my language and analytical skills.
My academic interests focus on remote sensing and geographic information systems GIS. Courses such as Remote Sensing Principles and Geographic Information System Methods have provided me with a solid theoretical foundation and deepened my understanding of how spatial data can be applied in environmental monitoring, disaster assessment, and urban planning. To bridge the gap between theory and practice, I joined the Fushinshan digital mapping internship during the summer of my second year, where I enhanced my field surveying and data processing skills. In my third year, I participated in a control survey internship at my university, gaining hands- on experience in high- precision geodetic measurements and strengthening my teamwork and problem- solving abilities.
I am eager to continue my studies at Tongji University, not only to pursueamaster's degree but also with the long- term goal of obtaining a PhD. If admitted, I will fully dedicate myself to research, explore cutting- edge technologies, enhance my academic capabilities, and contribute to advancements in the field of surveying and mapping.
