Cracked screen glow in the empty room
Half-eaten cereal talks to the moon
Static hum from the old cassette
Whispers dreams I ain’t met yet
Fingers trace the dust on the frame
Echoes laugh but they don’t say names
I’m lonely but the light still grows
Through the cracks in the blinds it shows
You’re a voice in the radio snow
I’m lonely but the light still glows
Shoes by the door still tied too tight
Like the knots in my chest last night
Polaroid stuck to the fridge with a sigh
Fading colors but the spark won’t die
Breath fogs up the window pane
Drawing stars in the ghostly rain
I’m lonely but the light still grows
Through the cracks in the blinds it shows
You’re a voice in the radio snow
I’m lonely but the light still glows
Static bursts into a song
A dial tone hums along
Wrong number or fate’s delay
Either way I’ll wait all day
Cracked screen glow fades to black
But the light it flickers back
