Lyrics: Follow the Sound of My Voice Music: Greg Abrahams/Andrew Hoole Good morning, my name is Jessica, and I’d like to help you prepare for your day by connecting with a sense of flow and ease Start by finding a comfortable seat, either cross-legged or sitting on a chair, with your feet planted firmly on the ground Let your hands rest softly on your lap and allow your eyes to gently close
Take a moment to notice the weight of your body and the points of contact with the surface beneath you Feel the solidity of the ground, steady and unwavering, holding you Imagine roots extending from the soles of your feet, sinking deep into the earth, anchoring you in stability These roots draw up energy from the ground, nourishing and strengthening you, connecting you to a sense of calm and support Feel yourself becoming grounded, centered, and ready to begin
We will start with a simple, calming breath to settle into this moment We will be breathing in for four counts, holding our breath at the top and then breathing out again for four counts Let’s begin, take a slow breath in through your nose… Now, pause, notice the quiet space between inhale and exhale And now, slowly release the breath through your mouth… Let’s repeat this rhythm a few more times With each inhale, invite in calm… With each exhale, let go of anything you no longer need Feel the breath moving effortlessly, like the rise and fall of the ocean With every cycle, allow yourself to sink deeper into this natural, soothing flow
I’d like you to picture yourself standing at the edge of a calm ocean, early in the morning The sky is vast and clear, painted with soft shades of blue and pink as the sun begins to rise The water stretches out before you, sparkling as it catches the first light, each ripple a dance of soft golden reflections Take a deep breath in... Notice how the gentle waves mirror the rhythm of your inhale and exhale. As you breathe in, feel the waves gently rise As you breathe out, feel them recede, flowing back into the vastness of the ocean There is a harmony here, a sense of ease, as if the ocean itself is breathing with you, reminding you of your own capacity to flow smoothly through the day’s events
Imagine taking a slow meander along the shore, each step sinking gently into the sand Feel the cool, damp grains beneath your feet, grounding you with each step A soft breeze brushes against your skin, carrying the scent of salt and fresh air, revitalizing you The gentle rhythm of the waves meeting the shore is steady, calming, and constant As you walk, allow yourself to feel lighter, as if each step releases any heaviness or tension With each wave that touches your feet, you feel a refreshing energy moving through you, washing away any lingering worries and leaving you feeling clear, open, and ready for whatever the day may bring
As you stand by this vast, open ocean, take a moment to set an intention for the day ahead Choose an intention that feels right for you—perhaps to move with ease and adaptability, to remain calm and centered, or simply to stay open to new possibilities Silently repeat the affirmation: ‘I move with grace and ease. I am in flow with life’s rhythms.’… As you breathe in, feel this intention filling you, infusing every part of your being As you exhale, imagine any tension or resistance flowing out with the tide, carried away by the ocean’s gentle rhythm Let this intention settle within you, like a quiet strength, guiding you as you move through the day
Slowly bring your awareness back to your body, feeling the weight of your physical presence, the solidity of the ground beneath you Begin to wiggle your fingers and toes, reawakening sensation in your hands and feet Take one final, deep breath, inhaling a sense of calm and ease… and as you exhale, feel any last bit of tension release, leaving you clear, refreshed, and open When you’re ready, gently open your eyes, bringing this feeling of flow and grace with you Carry this connection to the rhythm of the ocean, this sense of ease and adaptability, into the rest of your day Let yourself move through each moment with confidence, calm, and a gentle awareness of the flow that guides you You are ready to step forward into the day, grounded, open, and in harmony with all that awaits
