Getting to sing the "I'm Not That Girl" reprise is such a devastating moment for her
You know, she's putting together all those pieces now and kind of connecting the dots and can't believe any of it to be true
Definitely not an easy moment, haha
One of the things I like about musical theater is how one can use reprises to take something and illuminate a new experience
In the first movie of Wicked, Elphaba sings "I'm Not That Girl," where she's looking at Glinda and thinking
"Well, this is a girl who has everything that I will never have, including this man that I'm pretending to myself I'm not in love with"
In the second movie, Glinda finds herself in a place where she is feeling, she wishes she were Elphaba
And so to be able to use that same song, but for the different character is just one of the fun things that you get to do in musical theater
