When "Girl in the Bubble" happens in this movie, it's a really pivotal moment for her
She's very alone, and she can't stomach being a part of this system anymore that hurts people, that oppresses people and animals
She can't be a part of it anymore, it just becomes too painful for her to fathom
So she's pushed to this breaking point where the bubble really does have to finally pop all the way, and she's able to decide "No, I can be more than just loved, I can make a difference"
It's one of the most surreal numbers we have in both movies in Wicked
So we get to get lost in it with her, and it's very technically difficult
We did many rehearsals, many technical experiments to see how we could do it
It's also a very personal song, so we didn't want the technical to take us away from her, so we're always with her
But how do you stay with her with also getting lost into these reflections?
And so that was always choreography and movement of where the camera was and where she was, and I think Ari gives a performance like she's never given
