The Amphibian Heart

Music: The Chronicler Leaving behind a dimly lit space I take your hand and lead you Fowards the forest
I wanted to show you This place for some time There is a beautiful pond inside
A tiny green creature covered in mud Whose gentle voice echoes throughout He is the guardian of this soppy land A little frog with a giant, amphibian heart
But your eyes are locked on the soil You bring out a knife, do you want to join The earth?
You raise it up You make a cut The ground is soiled with blood
Oh My darling, you have made a mistake This is not why I brought you here I want you to enter the pond instead In water you can painlessly dwell
Please allow me to cleanse your wound For water is what keeps you alive The earth only seeks to take you away And I am never ready for that
To loose your light
And I spot movement in the grass The little amphibian tries to speak to us
He embraced the ambiguous life He proclaims that your time is nigh He declares that you are just like him Neither dead, nor alive The amphibian heart
My dear. I have brought you here
To teach you the lessons of life To make you reconcile with your mind To embrace the rays of light And withdraw the shame and guilt (They're part of your past)
To stop and take a deep breath To walk through the waterfall ahead To listen to the pond instead To hear the echoes in the stream
The Amphibian Heart Split between the water and earth The Amphibian Heart Has to decide between life and death The Amphibian Heart I want you to choose wisely my dear The Amphibian Heart My love, come and dive with me
