In all the wonders that have ever been
There’s never been a wonder quite like this one

In all the mysteries that ever were heard

A father with a cherished son would send this child
His only one to save us
A lamb to humbly fall into this want and wilderness
Whose mother sealed the promise of salvation with a kiss
And gathered all of heaven unto her

Who could still their heart or turn away
On this starry, starry night
Gazing on the beauty of the hope for humankind
In all the stories that were ever told
This one unfolds like none we had envisioned
How the child would grow to heal the blind
To find the lost, to free us from our prisons
And walk upon the waters of our selfishness and pride
Leading us to healing as the life poured from his side
Until our redemption was assured
