Memory

Faded memories in my mind, They flicker, glitch, then realign. Every smile you left behind Cuts deeper every time. I breathe but it won't stay— Your shadow slips away. I hold it like it's safe, But it's breaking anyway. Running in circles, Never reaching you. Every trace is fragile, Every sound feels true. I'm lost inside a memory— It plays but won't set me free. Every frame is tearing me, Like it's all I'll ever be. I'm screaming in the static now, Your voice is wearing out. I hold what's gone but still I try— Yet I can't say goodbye. (me-me-memory) Spinning in the glow, You don't see— I'm breaking slow. Your laughter fades to blur, A whisper never heard. I try but can't return To the fire that used to burn. Chasing through silence, No exit in sight. What we were is broken— I can't pull back the light. I'm lost inside a memory, Falling down, repeating me. Your silence is the only sound— And I'm still underground. Still underground.
